Zero-emission modular transportation re-envisioned.

Hyperloop is a proposed "5th mode of transportation" named and made famous by Elon Musk. The concept utilizes specially designed pods that will travel at near Mach speeds in a sealed tube at low pressure. A more in depth look at the concept can be found in the Hyperloop Whitepaper.

NYU Hyperloop is designing a system that will not only enable high-speed frictionless travel, but will do so with a model that will safely develop associated technologies, driven by economic interests. An early stage model of the Hyperloop model that encourages logistics companies to move freight will be attractive because product can be moved quickly and cheaply, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Engineering in the concrete jungle.

Based in Brooklyn, NY, NYU Hyperloop is a small group of enthusiastic engineering students who's focus is to innovate the future while giving back to our community. Here at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, we hope that this competition will pave the way for the next generation of students and instill an internal drive to continuously innovate.  We hope to inspire the engineers of tomorrow and to show that no task is too big for a small team in Brooklyn. We are actively recruiting, so don't hesitate to reach out!
